The Harmonist’s Founder: Lola Tillyaeva
Lola Tillyaeva founded The Harmonist maison de parfum in 2013. A former UNESCO Ambassador and dedicated philanthropist, Lola envisioned a fragrance house inspired by the ancient wisdom of Feng Shui.
Guiding Inspiration
In launching The Harmonist, Lola Tillyaeva was guided by her belief that true beauty flourishes where harmony and wellbeing unite. Drawing on Eastern philosophy and her own passion for the art and science of perfumery, she conceived a perfume house where each creation is a refined expression of balance, crafted to awaken serenity, confidence and inner radiance.
“The concept behind The Harmonist is based on understanding yourself better, discovering your own ‘I’. We invite our clients to redirect their attention from outside to inside.”

The Creative Process
Developed in collaboration with master French perfumer Guillaume Flavigny of Givaudan, The Harmonist range interprets the five elements through the dynamic interplay of Yin and Yang.
Nominated several times at the prestigious US Fragrance Foundation Awards and winner of Allure magazine's Best of Beauty Award 2022, the brand centres on balance and wellbeing, harnessing “a scent’s extraordinary power to influence how we function and feel.“
An invitation to align
French savoir-faire and founder Lola Tillyaeva’s vision combine to create collections where every fragrance becomes an olfactory ritual — an invitation to align, elevate and reveal one’s authentic essence.
Launched in 2016, the signature Elements Collection beautifully transposes the power of fire, water, earth, wind and wood into scent, a theme echoed in the popular Sun and Moon Collection that was introduced in 2020.
The Harmonist’s most recent collection, the Nebula Collection, enjoyed an exclusive launch at Harrods, London, in 2025. A testimony to Lola’s creative taste, Florae Nebulae has recently come seventh in the store’s Biggest Names in Luxury Fragrance.
Beyond perfumery
Beyond perfumery, Lola Tillyaeva champions holistic living. Published in 2020, her book Be Your Own Harmonist invites the reader to explore pathways towards mental and physical wellbeing. Grounded in research in science and spirituality, Be Your Own Harmonist discusses meditation techniques and plant-based diets, offering simple daily practices that nourish mind, body and soul.
“This book isn’t just another wellbeing title. It’s a mantra I’ll share with everyone I love. Discovering Be Your Own Harmonist is like entering a world of essential silences.”

The Human Kind Institute
Committed to empowering individuals, societies and humanity towards finding new pathways to positivity, in 2022 Lola Tillyaeva founded The Human Kind Institute, an organisation promoting holistic learning through exhibitions, films, and educational programmes that explore what it means to be truly human.
“If we want to build a truly sustainable, healthier and greener future for humanity, we must attain greater physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing, both individually and collectively. By engaging all our senses and focusing on our innate ability to ground ourselves in the present moment, we can be guided through the advancements of the fast-paced world we live in. The Human Kind Institute supports this vision by merging the wisdom of our ancestors with the latest modern discoveries. Our core philosophy is focused on fostering human inventiveness, creativity and imagination.”
